Anorexia Nervosa | Bulimia Nervosa | Binge Eating Disorder | Diabulimia | Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder-ARFID|
My treatment approach when working with individuals struggling with an eating disorder is to gently guide you and address the medical, psychological, behavioral, and social concerns that contributed to or were exacerbated by struggles with disordered eating.
Have a bad relationship with your body and food? Has the diet culture influenced food choices that cause you to have rigidity around food?
Intuitive eating looks into your individual relationship with food and encourages you to trust your inner-body wisdom. Throughout the process of connecting to your inner-body wisdom you will learn how to allow yourself to make choices that results in your body feeling good.
Neurodivergent individuals may experience symptoms that increase their risk of disordered eating, such as sensory sensitivities or trouble connecting with bodily hunger cues. I help guide individuals by challenging neuro-normative expectations related to eating and help engage in self-advocacy around creating a supportive eating environment
Challenge the negative and disordered thoughts that you have learned about bodies and body image.
My goal is to guide you to a place of body acceptance. Throughout your journey, you will learn to respect the inherent diversity of your body shape and size, while also learning to reject the glamorization of specific weights.
I have a passion for working with individuals who struggle with diabetes management and diabulimia (diagnosis of Diabetes and Bulimia Nervosa).
I teach individuals to utilize of a non-restrictive and non-judgmental approach which helps reduce anxiety and guilt around food choices.
